JBL SUB18
The JBL Sub18 is a high-end studio subwoofer designed for the highest audiophile demands. The extended frequency response to below 18 Hz and the very high level reserves allow demanding use in large rooms such as film mixing or music productions.
In the low frequency range, the 2269H (18?) chassis with 4? double voice coil is used. This differential chassis has two highly efficient neodymium magnets arranged in the center of the coil. This position creates two air gaps that drive two voice coils. This increases the driving force acting on the diaphragm. The result is optimal transient response of the diaphragm with very low distortion, high sound pressure and extended low frequency response.
The JBL Sub18 is driven by an external amplifier and DSP (optional). Crown I-Tech HD power amplifiers with integrated DSP processor and pre-programmed presets are recommended.
